NASIPIT, AGUSAN DEL NORTE/ September 1, 2018.

In keeping with the fast-paced development in campus journalism and campus paper management, DepEd Caraga conducted a 4-day Regional Training of Trainers (RTOT) in Campus Journalism on August 29 to September 1, 2018 at the Amontay Beach Resort in Nasipit, Agusan del Norte. 

The one hundred forty-five (145) participants to this training were twelve (12) Division Journalism Coordinators (in English or Filipino), sixty-six (66) School Paper Advisers in Elementary (English and Filipino), and sixty-seven (67) School Paper Advisers in Secondary (English and Filipino).

Conceptualized and initiated by the Curriculum and Learning Management Division (CLMD) headed by Dr. Isidro M. Biol, Jr., in cooperation with Dr. Gladys S. Asis, Regional Journalism Coordinator, this training aimed to broaden the trainers understanding of the different genres of Campus Journalism, to apply effective principles and guidelines on Campus Paper Management in view of current trends and the role of digital communications media in the development of Campus Journalism, and to finalize each division’s Training Plan.

Facilitators and trainers for this training were: Lucita Besonia (ADN), Michael Tadulan (ADN), Dorothy Joy Jalalon (ADS), Tessie Dacera (ADS), Irish Sarmiento (Bayugan), Harvey Uyanib (Bayugan), Rowena Ga (Bislig), Lurilyn Malbacias (ADN), Agan Mark Carag (Butuan), Francis Caumpay (Butuan), Flordelisa Milan (Cabadbaran), Vanessa Bolambot (Cabadbaran), Christopher Balatero (Dinagat), Laiza May Lampad (Siargao), Eleine Alipao (Surigao City), Joseph Melbert Rebot (Surigao City), Nigel Angub (SDN), Junar Lasaca (Bayugan), Hermelita Torralba (SDS), Robie Roluna (Tandag), and Rhoda Delos Santos (Bislig).

The Program Management Team was composed of Dr. Isidro M. Biol, Jr., CLMD Chief, Dr. Gladys S. Asis, EPS-CLMD, Dr. Elena Capangpangan, EPS-CLMD, Dr. Jesus Nono, EPS-QAD, Pedro A.
