BUTUAN CITY – 11/6/21

DepEd Caraga’s Regional Office, through the Human Resource Development Division (HRDD) led by Dr. Flordelisa R. Dalin and focal person Ms. Junnah B. Tiu, facilitated the Values Restoration Program – Public Accountability and Values Enhancement Seminar (VRP-PAVES) in partnership with the Council for the Restoration of Filipino Values – Corruption Prevention Unit (CRFV – CPU).

The three-day webinar, conducted on November 3-5, 2021, via Zoom, had 11 sessions with two workshops to strengthen Filipino values grounded on patriotism, integrity, excellence, and spirituality towards a righteous and corruption-free Filipino society.

The webinar enabled the participants to complete 24 hours of leadership and management training. The modules covered during the webinar were: Transformational Leadership 101, Relationship Management 101, Work Ethics and Excellence in Service 101, and Public Accountability and Gender Sensitivity Laws. The participants also included personnel from Cebu Technological University.

On day one, Mr. Jesus V. Sison, CFRV Program Manager, provided the framework of VRP-PAVES and elements of Relationship Management. Mr. Nathaniel A. Saquiban, CRFV Deputy National Director, talked about the importance of VRP-GAD PAVES in Nation Building and discussed transformational leadership by elaborating on Spirituality and the Love of God. After the discussion, the participants grouped themselves into four for the breakout sessions.

Dr. Larry Cabatic, CRFV Action Officer, tackled relevant points in Stewardship and Management of Resources, followed by Mr. Reynaldo Cordoviz’s discussion on the Sanctity of Marriage during the morning session on November 4, 2021.

In the afternoon, Atty. Rodolfo del Rosario elucidated on Public Accountability and GST as articulated in the 2017 Rules on Administrative Cases in the Civil Service (2017 RACCS) and Executive Order 292, followed by an Open Forum.

The webinar resumed on November 5, 2021, with Director Rabindranath Quilala explaining the salient points on Work Ethics and Excellence in Service. Atty. Carolina Lim-Gamban elaborated on R.A 11313 (or the Safe Space Act).

During the latter part of the webinar, Ms. Ame-Phil Osorio Saquiban facilitated the workshop on Accountability, followed by a discussion on Selfless Love and Service to People.

The webinar ended with a post-evaluation and giving of impressions by the participants.
