BUTUAN CITY – October 10, 2018
The Information and Communication Technology Unit (ICTU) of DepEd Caraga held a coordination meeting with the Division Information Technology Officers (ITOs) to review the on-ongoing implementation of the DepEd Computerization Program (DCP), assess internet connectivity in Caraga, and prepare for the upcoming Cyber Expo 2018.
Facilitated by Marcelino M. Ahon, Jr., ICTU head, the meeting was held from October 9 to October 10 at the Teacher Development Center in Butuan City.
According to Ahon, the activity also tackled the DepEd Partnership Database System (DPDS), the comprehensive planning for capacity building of Regional and Division ITOs, Supply Officers, and Accountants, the deployment of ICTU-developed systems to Division Offices, housing of Division Information System in the Regional Office server, and the required ICT processes for ISO certification.
Participants to this meeting were Cheryl Q. Deleňa (Tandag), Christopher John T. Mortal (Butuan), Christopher P. Jabagat (Bislig), Eric C. Olasiman (Dinagat), Marvin C. Minguillan (Surigao del Sur), Eugene E. Saarenas (Agusan del Norte), Barry Jessie B. Digol (Surigao del Norte), Julius V. Laurella (Agusan del Sur), Kristian Dior P. Layno (Cabadbaran), Kevin Adrian M. Rosas (Surigao City), and Marian P. Tonjo (Bayugan).
On the last day of the meeting, the participants met with DCP suppliers to discuss important concerns pertaining to deliveries, status of items served, warranty issues, and other ancillary services. Two workshops were also conducted: DCP Suppliers School Clustering and DCP ITO Schedule of Monitoring.
