To reinforce the leadership principles on Integrity, Efficiency, Effectiveness, and Spirituality (I E2 S), DepEd Caraga Regional Director Evelyn R. Fetalvero, CESO IV, led the 6-Day Webinar on Values Rejuvenation Program for Caraga education leaders on June 8-18, 2021.
The Human Resource Development Division (HRDD), under the leadership of Dr. Flordelisa R. Dalin and focal person Dr. Violeta C. Nuñez, facilitated the webinar. It aimed to empower the participants to live up to the core values of a righteous and corruption-free society that fulfills the aspirations of the Filipino people. The participant included Fetalvero herself, OIC-Assistant Regional Director Dr. Lorenzo O. Macasocol, CESO VI, Schools Division Superintendents, Assistant Schools Division Superintendents, SGODs and CID Chiefs, Functional Division Chiefs, and the Regional Unit Heads.
Conducted from 8:30 am to 12:00 noon via zoom, the webinar had 11 sessions and two workshops that enabled the participants to complete 24 hours of leadership and management training. The modules covered were Transformational Leadership 101, Relationship Management 101, Work Ethics and Excellence in Service 101, and Public Accountability and Gender Sensitivity Laws.
On June 8, 2021, Mr. Jesus V. Sison provided the framework for Values Restoration Program-Public Accountability and Values Enhancement Seminar (VRP-PAVES) and the elements of transformational leadership. Mr. Nathaniel Saquiban elaborated on the Spirituality and Love of God.
Mr. Voltaire Acosta tackled the relevant points of relationship management, and Dr. Larry Cabatic elucidated the principles of work ethics and excellence in public service during the session on June 10, 2021.
On June 11, Dir. Rabindranath Quilala discussed the Integrity and Ease of Doing Business, followed by Saquiban’s presentation on responsible stewardship and management of resources.
The sessions resumed on June 15, 2021, with Atty Rodolfo Del Rosario discussing topics on Public Accountability as articulated in the 2017 Rules on Administrative Cases in the Civil Service (2017 RACSS) and Executive Order 292. On June 17, 2021, Atty. Carolina Lim-Gamban and Mr. Nathaniel Saquiban explained the salient points of R.A. 11313 (or the Safe Space Act) and the Sanctity of Marriage, respectively.
During the last Session on June 18, 2021, Ms. Ame-Phil Osorio Saquiban facilitated the workshop on Accountability, followed by a discussion on Selfless Love and Service to People by Sison.
The activity ended with a post-evaluation and giving of impressions by the participants.
