BUTUAN CITY – January 22, 2019

DepEd’s Bureau of Human Resource and Organizational Development (BHROD), through the Human Resource Development Division (HRDD) of DepEd Caraga Regional Office, in partnership with the Philippine National Research Center for Teacher Quality (RCTQ) successfully conducted a five-day Orientation on the Developed Year 2 PPST-based RPMS Assessment Tools for Mindanao Cluster on January 8-12, 2019 at the Balanghai Hotel and Convention Center in Butuan City.

The activity aimed to present to all Mindanao stakeholders the practical implications of the alignment of the Results-Based Performance Management System (RPMS) with the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST). It also aimed to present the list of acceptable Means of Verification (MOV) as well as the set of RPMS performance indicators for specific objectives.

The alignment was based on the results from the Focus Group Workshops conducted in 2017 across 17 regions in the country.

Participants were select personnel from Regions IX, X, XI, XII and Caraga.

Participants from Caraga were: Dr. Marilou Curugan, P-III (Agusan del Sur); Dr. Juliet Virtudazo, SGOD Chief (Agusan del Norte); Ms. Sweetloueljie Antigua, SEPS (Agusan del Norte); Ms. Liza Guinging, SEPS (Surigao del Sur); Ms. Christine Odtojan, AO IV (DepEd XIII-RO); Dr. Violeta Nuňez, EPS-HRDD (DepEd XIII-RO); and Dr. Flodelisa Dalin, HRDD Chief (DepEd XIII-RO).

Dr. Jennifer Lopez, BHROD OIC-Director III, and Dr. Jennie Jocson, RCTQ Deputy Director, served as lead facilitators. They presented the various RPMS tools such as the Classroom Observation Tools (COT), Self-Assessment Tools (SAT), Individual Performance Commitment and Review Form (IPCRF), Midyear Review Form, and Performance Monitoring and Coaching Form, and others.
